Digipak Analysis

In this video, I compare digipaks from Amy Winehouse and All Time Low. I used these artists as Amy Winehouse was a well known artist with her album out a few years ago, compared to All Time Low's (a band in competition with our band, The Dead Famous) more recent release.

Why did I do this?
I did it because I will end up having to make a digipak, and this way I am able to see what previous successful digipaks  look like, as well as exploring a rival band's digipak and how I can use their digipak as inspiration for mine to show the genre of what band I'm trying to promote is.

What did I learn?
I learnt that a digipak is very important to the consumer. Whilst the video and song do advertise the single / album, it is eventually the digipak that decides whether you buy it or not (if you buy CDs of course, if you download it online, you can very easily change the album artwork.) I also learnt that often fans do not enjoy the digipak art and end up creating their own.

  1. Good analysis, covered all points, presented in a creative way, just add why & what you learned and how is that gonna help you with your own project?
